Also, you've got to love the bonus dig on the Phillies franchise. This feud has it all!
My only gripe, though, is the implication that this is somehow 'cheating' or a lack of 'integrity.' If you have signs that can be broken and relayed, then that's your own fault. The line between 'competitive' and 'cheating' is the use of technology. For example, remember when the Phillies were clearly caught using binoculars from the bullpen in mid-May 2010 and then promptly went into a huge, collective slump in the latter half of May 2010? I do. Stay classy, Philadelphia.
Stealing signs from second is perfectly acceptable, and it's also perfectly acceptable for the pitcher or infielder to tell them to stop. I don't think anyone did anything wrong on the field in this situation.
ReplyDeleteIf Larry had been relaying more signs throughout his career, he might have more than just one ring.
Typical of Tulo to back up the story of his opponent (with whom he was fraternizing at second base). Tulo is terrible teammate. Just ask Ubaldo.
